Mum and me

For their last evening in the UK, we all went to the pub for a meal. We had a bit of a detour getting there though, the police had blocked the one road going through Icklesham from both directions. As it turned out, on one side it wasn't blocked, if you asked the policeman nicely you were allowed to proceed to Icklesham, but we saw a whole lot of countryside before we got to that point. It only took as 45 minutes longer than normal (it's an 8 minute drive).

Nevertheless we had a wonderful evening, good food and good company!
