What's wrong with this picture?

This grandfather clock has been moved from my parent's house to their apartment. My father bought the kit and assembled it 40 years ago. After the move it wasn't working properly so a repairman came, took the"guts" of the clock and is currently cleaning everything.

We had a busy day cleaning out the basement today. Getting closer.
