Experimenting with straws

I've put several straws on/into a piece of cardboard and taped it to my lens. It looks amazing! The pink straws take the color of the subject nonetheless. For instance, here I took a photo of an avocado on apples.

Tomorrow I'm going to make a whole grid of straws to put in front of the lens. :)
