Gilkicker Saline Lake

A friend suggested to me via Face Book that we should go out for some post sunset photos. So off we trudged across the golf course to the saline lakes and parked ourselves on a grassy bank eventually moving around the lake to capture the fading light reflected in its water.

The trudge across uneven ground and pushing past gorse bushes in the darkness to get to this remote spot was well worth the effort. The colours of the sunset is one thing but the colours in the sky when the sun goes down is another.
