smirking very slightly

Haven't done any people-standing-randomly-about shots for a while. Silly time to start again, really. Still, when someone stays in the right place for long enough to internally debate whether it's worth attempting to catch them, walk along the road a bit to a pedestrian crossing, look over again, check to see if the light looks like it's going to change anytime soon, confirm the pose is retained, remove camera from bag, increase ISO. focus (by now being observed by the subject) and click then it was probably at least worth trying. Especially when they're obviously watching and adjusting their expression accordingly. It would of course have been a lot better from directly opposite and using the other faster lens but I suspect the dual threats of cold and opportunistic photography would defeat the lure of cigarette and would result in pose-disruption and disappearance.

Sleep early or stay up to watch Charlie Brooker's BB zombie thingby? HMMMM.
