Being two is so last year

It's Miss A's last day as a two year old and we made the most of it. A pre-birthday family meal in Livingston with balloons, presents and a Cinderella birthday cake put a mile-wide smile on her face. She was spoiled with clothes, a tea set, a Peppa Pig camera (perhaps to start her own blip?) and a pink fairy costume. Tea poured, photos taken and fairy costume on we set off back to Edinburgh and the Meadows Festival.

Miss A is quite obsessed with funfairs and was beyond excited when we arrived. She immediately zoned in on the roundabout with the pink princess carriage and hopped aboard, while Daddy and little D sat opposite her on the mini waltzer. Next it was the Galloping Horses, swings and bouncy room, with a short break for an ice cream in between. There were some tears when we had to drag her away but all in all a very good day.

Being 2 has been a big learning curve for Miss A and she has grown into such a beautiful and happy little girl. Her vocabulary and conversation is superb, she's a kind and caring big sister (mostly!), can sing the alphabet song, loves to count, knows her address, how old she is and has mastered toilet training and dry nights to name but a handful of milestone moments. She's pretty amazing really!

Miss A, we love you to the moon and back xxx
