Wet paint?

It seems someone managed to spill some paint last night, but then not tell anyone about it, and now the entire side of the street is gradually getting white washed.

What I don't understand is how so many people managed to all walk through it, surely when you see the puddle and the footprints (that weren't there yesterday) you have to be suspicious. I know I was. 

Anyway no-one seems to bothered by it now, we just have a white pavement and lots of interesting footprints everywhere. Perhaps this was just the base coat of a modern art street installation, and when I come back there will be lots of interesting reds and blues all over the place, who knows?
