Between fen and mountains

The saxophonist

This made a change from the usual accordionist or two who play around the streets of Prades for the Tuesday market, a market which takes over most of the town.  It is a tourist attraction for its colour and choice but at this time of the year it is not too crowded and still manageable.  I had to take the car in for two new tyres so took the opportunity to stock up with Spanish cheese, cured ham off the bone and sausage.  Living near the border has the advantage of being able to source ingredients for two different cuisines.  I had just enough time to find some actualités insolites (unusual news stories) for translation in this afternoon's conversation class before setting off.
