On Patrol!

This gorgeous guy has been very successful at looking after his lady this year & they have managed to produce 6 cygnets! He is very defensive for her..comes out of the water & up the bank to warn you 'not one more step!'
Last year she laid 8 eggs but youths threw stones & beer cans etc. at him & also at her on her nest. She had to abandon them. I blipped about this last year...so very sad. But yaaaay for them this year...despite the fact There were beer cans around her nest again this year...she didn't move & 6 little cygnets are here to make them proud parents at long last! I will of course add pictures of them soon!
