Green driving

The English countryside is so beautiful at this time of year, with its freshly lush green foliage and meadow flowers. I spent today enjoying it on a test drive through Somerset in some new Suzukis. The route took us through Cheddar Gorge and to an off-roading session in a quarry high up in the Mendips. It gave us the chance to try the latest Suzuki Vitara's four-wheel-dive system and elevated ground clearance in rugged conditions.

One of the cars we drove was a high economy version of the new budget supermini Celerio, and we were challenged to try to achieve the best possible mpg. My driving partner and I managed a winning 73.6 mpg, and we rewarded with handsome hunks of Cheddar cheese.
