Mysterious

I took a short-cut through the churchyard en route from the gym to drop off a birthday gift for a friend, and this headstone caught my eye. "How sad", I thought, "All his children died so young". Then I wondered how he came by them as there was no mention of the woman who bore those children. There's a story there somewhere.
