Kicksies White And Ladybird Red

Don't think I've ever done three emergency Blips in a week before. While I've been away from home the buttercups, ox-eye daisies and elderflowers have started to bloom. My dog was beside herself with excitement when we went down the field briefly together this evening.

I do love sheep's parsley/cow parsley or Queen Anne's lace as it is also known. It seems to me to be extra beautiful this year. In some parts of the country this member of the carrot family is known as keck. John Clare dubbed it kicksies white. Whatever one calls it, the gorgeous white froth is a harbinger of summer.

I love ladybirds too. They often get overlooked by me when I'm searching for more exotic minibeasts.
