After all this time...

we finally met up with Mr and Mrs Brickmaker.

Got up early (for a Saturday, it was a lie in compared to a weekday) and drove down to North Wales, near Llanberis.

Cup of tea and a chat and then we headed off to the pub.
For lunch.
No alcohol was consumed.

Then we headed a few miles over to Penrhyn Castle, which I have seen plenty of times from the A55 but never actually been anywhere near.

Walked, chatted, took a lot of photos, had a well earned cup of tea, with the obligatory scone with jam and clotted cream (of course!).

Back to Casa Brickmaker for more tea, more chatting and then we headed home.  Corin drove home - I was exhausted!!!

BM and I have never met in real life, despite the fact that we have chatted endlessly and that he was even so kind as to make us our own brick for our wedding 5 years ago.  Strangely, as is so often the case with blippers, when you finally meet, it's not so much a new acquaintance so much as a long known friend.

It really was a lovely day, spent with lovely, down to earth people.  Really couldn't have asked for a nicer day.  Even the weather was pleasant!!!

Thank you both :-)   Hope to see you soon xxx
