Yellow and Black

It was not very May like today as it was cool and showery. The cool bit is fairly normal, but most Mays are drier. In the east I associate May with the haar, and good weather in the north west. There's no sign of that pattern yet. We went to East Lothian and had a short walk up the Marilyn of Spartleton. It isn't big, is in no way spectacular, but has good views north to the Highlands and south to the Cheviot Hills. There is a large wind farm (at least 101 turbines) between it and the coast, but there is ample bird life and big skies. The blip is of the Rape fields near Garvald and the contrast between the yellow and the dark clouds was striking.
