Calm after the Storm.....

.....in the South West around Margaret River.

We were warned of a fierce storm in the South West this weekend - heavy rain, gale force winds and local flash flooding. Indeed Liam Bartlett from Channel 9 warned us.

Yesterday we took out 75mm (or 3" in the old scale) of rain over the 24 hours but this morning (Sunday) we awoke to the most beautiful day. There was no wind and it was all sparkling and sunny - nothing like the forecast!

Today's foto shows Redgate Creek running for the first time this year right out to the sea at Redgate Beach. It looked spectacular (even the sun was shining).
