Green Rose Chafer

Believe it or not, these things can fly - that was a surprise to me too.  This one took off shortly after this Blip was taken.  They are pretty massive too.

We had our first actual physical cat-on-cat encounter here.  The two cats who live opposite got together and ambushed Moot.  A bit mean of them because he can't run very fast (he is overweight but his knackered hips and leg are the real problem).  Thankfully it was over quite quickly and all the muggers got was a mouthful of fur and huge bushy tails out of it. 

Moot got stroked and calmed down.  He's out again having a bit of a schnupper in the garden.  It'll all be OK.

This might be worth seeing large.  I think it does.
