Drama at the feeder
Was only saying to a fellow blipper yesterday, that once the food is put out on the feeder in our garden the starlings descend. Only now they bring their offspring with them. At one point I counted at least 7 on the feeder whilst a few others covered the ground below. The parents have certainly got their work cut out with the juveniles waiting nearby with their mouths wide open. It was quite a strange thing to watch as the juveniles lunged towards their parents for the food. One nearly lost its head and another its beak. I'm sure its not quite as dramatic but it certainly looked it. You'll be pleased to know all the birds left with all body parts in tact anyway!!
