Finlaggan

Had time to kill on a damp drive to Port Askaig so called in at Finlaggan, the seat of the Lord of the Isles for a couple of hundred years until 1494. Impressive in its unimpressiveness, the "Great Hall" was not much bigger than a cottage, indicating how hard life was in Scotland during those times. Quite what the peasants lived in is hard to imagine.
