Kerrera Ferry

Dull but dry morning. We drove to Oban and took Maeve the Deerhound on a walk from Oban down the shore road South to Gallanach. We walked on further than the point where the little ferry goes over to Kerrera to get the best views. Many years ago Apothecary7 and I took the litle ferry (it was a smaller ferry then) and walked to Gylen castle on Kerrera and we wanted to walk down the road to the ferry again.

When we got back to Oban we walked round to the North Pier and Apothecary7 went into th charity shop to buy a stoneware jar (to add to our collection) that we had seen through the window on a previous walk.

We took the car up to Benderloch for lunch and on the way back spent another hour or so looking out to the Falls of Lora before having tea at Poppies on the way back to the Chalet.
