Day of the Triffids

Today's theme for Mono Monday.
I thought this seed pod of Helleborus Corsicus  looked the part!

At last we have the painting finished in the downstairs toilet, and entrance hall.
The decorator was supposed to come on Saturday. Rang to reappoint yet again!
We agreed he could come today.
Another phone call to say he couldn't make it, he would come tomorrow at 8.30am.
Then later phoned to say it would be lunchtime.
By now our patience had run out. We told him not to bother coming at all, and rang the company who were dealing with our claim.
Guess what! Someone came two hours later and finished the job!
Sometimes it doesn't pay to be " Mr Nice Guy" !
Next stage is to get the plumber to come and fit a new basin, and toilet.
Hope he doesn't keep fobbing us off!
