Man's best friend (after his camera)

Our for an evening blip and I met an older guy out with his dog.  He (the man!) used to be a keen photographer until he retired and lost access to the dark room at his work and hasn't taken any photos since.  I tentatively suggested he get a digital camera and start taking pictures again.
