Saughton Park

From October 2008 until December 2013, I commuted down this stretch. Not every day. Depending on the direction of the wind, time of day, whether coming or going, who I was coming or going with, depending on what the traffic lights did and most importantly whether or not I wanted a quick lap or two of the skate park on a road bike....

And latterly it became part of my lunchtime wander of choice. Whether diving into the glass houses or sitting on benches in the sun; walking to the bridge to ponder or (if accompanied) to chat. Kingfisher spotting, library book returning. Armed with puy lentil salsa, roasted veg cous cous, gnocchi blue cheese and spinach with a sprinkling of toasted walnuts.

And going back to look at this all seems like it was a distant dream or a half forgotten film.

White pen on black metal gate post.

Low key Sunday with shared memories.
