Bempton Cliffs

An amazing visit to Bempton Cliffs near Bridlington started in rain and finished in bright sunshine. These 350 foot chalk cliffs are nesting grounds for puffins, gannets razorbills guillemots kittiwake and fulmars. We saw only a dozen puffins but hundreds of gannets at close quarters. The area hosts 25.000 birds during the breeding season. Looking down from the cliff tops the skies are filled with swirling birds gathering nesting material and food.
