After the rain

Following last night's intensely surreal 'blind' dinner, I found myself craving the light today. So it was a bit disappointing when a promising morning disintegrated into a stormy afternoon of thunder, lightning, torrential rain and pea-size hail that bounced dramatically on the lawn.

When it passed, the garden was left fresh and bright, newly-washed and dripping with water. So I escaped briefly from the computer to snatch a few shots. This vibrant Rhododendron was my favourite.
