A perfect fit...

It has been a day of discovering bumble bees including the discovery of a rather large one on the towel I have just brought in.

Three beautiful things:

The thrush's dawn chorus and evening song - it seems to be particularly vocal at the moment.

Tonight's distant red moon

Watching one of the 4000 beacons being lit, followed by fireworks - not bad for a small village.

One thing to be grateful for:
A dry day - I was finally able to mow the lawn! A job that would have been done last week had it not been for an important school visitor! Can't believe that was only last week!
