No sweeping views in the countryside today... it was straight out from work to the River Cottage Canteen in town.

Since it opened I have been keen to try it out. More to see what they have done with the conversion of the grade 2 listed Abbey Mill building in the Abbey gardens than to actually try out the food.

It is great to see the building in use, it was a sad looking place before and I really liked how they have converted the interior. Really nice place.

Shame I cant say the same for the food or service - maybe we just got them on an off night. 

The band were really good though.
