June 4th - Drink

Well of course there was drink involved!!

We celebrated the Queens Diamond Jubilee in style.

The evening started at my cottage with 10 friends sharing food and drink, then we walked, each with a Dick Whittington style bundle of food and drink tied on a stick over our shoulders.
The beacon fire was magnificent and we also watched fireworks in the distance in the town.

Much later we walked back to the pub where Elvis made a comeback and strutted his stuff and we danced - and sang maybe?

The waifs and strays are sleeping downstairs while I am posting this as the sky begins to lighten. So technically this is a back blip - ( Technically it's a blipping miracle I've found a half decent image from the 210 I took, and am managing to type.)

Thank goodness there is an extra day's holiday tomorrow.
