Air Force Practice

I walked out my front door today into a field to shoot pictures of wild yellow daisies. While I was there, keeping my head down taking care not to step on any fire ants or snakes (this is Texas ya'll), I heard a plane fly overhead.

I shot some daisies and then heard the same plane fly overhead again. This time I looked up and realized it was an Air Force C-130 (pronounced "see one thirty") pilot doing "Touch and Go's" at the nearby airfield. This is a practice routine where the crew lands and immediately does a takeoff again without slowing down.

I took the shot and when I processed my pictures I discovered that I liked this shot better than all my flower shots combined. Hey, a guy can shoot flowers any day of the week, but a C-130? Well, you get the picture.
