Manual Ferris Wheel

These are the first types of Ferris wheels Thailand knew. Someone sits on each seat, and when you are the one closest to the ground, you push off hard to keep the wheel going around. As we walked by, my Thai friends got all excited and began telling stories of playing on Ferris wheels like this as a kids.

Now Thailand has traditional Ferris wheels too, but I love the culture and memories woven into the old-fashioned kind.
