Black skies

Up early to take son number one to have his toe sorted out once and for all (hopefully). One of the bridges over the Thames is closed this week so we had to leave lots of extra time so we could make sure we made the appointment. All went well and the staff were very friendly and efficient. 
Managed to avoid the rain on the way into work but we had very heavy showers and hail during the afternoon. The skies over the university looked very dramatic  - particularly as the sun was bright at times too. As it is still exam season, the campus can be very quiet at times. 

Book group later on. Lots of wine, nice nibbles and a good discussion on the book. I was not alone in thinking it was a bit of a disappointment.
