Life is a Minestrone !!

Red Eyed Damselfly.

A very early start this morning before the rain moves in at about eleven.
There's was a little weak sunshine with a cool breeze when i headed over to the moat.
I was actually awake at 4-30 this morning thinking about the circuit breaker that tripped out on Sunday, cutting the power to the chest freezer we have in the garage. Everything thawed and ruined............
I checked everything over yesterday but couldn't find any problems with anything......so i'll go over everything again later this morning.

Over at the moat the swans were having their own jubilee procession, leading the way was the proud Cob with his wings curled in that familiar threatening display, followed by the eight cygnets, with the Pen bringing up the rear.
All the other usual suspects were present, Mallards, Drakes, Geese, Coots, Moorhens and any amount of Gulls.
This mornings foray was for none of the above, but to try and capture some shots of either Damsel or Dragon Flies.............
Luckily there were a few Damsel flies prepared to pose for a few close up shots.
This Red Eyed Damselfly didn't seem bothered by my "getting up close and personal" approach.

Well worth the early start.

Don't think you'll need large, but here it is...
