Butterfly Fungi

We have had quite a lot of rain recently and I came across this old tree stump with this most unusual fungi growing.
It was shaped somewhat like a butterfly hence my title for this Blipfoto.
I wonder if it would be edible. Must call up "Google" and check it out.

                               Could be quite nourishing!!!
