Very tall bonfire

Had to work yesterday afternoon so took Bonnie and my visiting dog with me as I'd promised them a dip in the river afterwards. We went to Dalston a few miles outside Carlisle as the river there is quite shallow.

When we got there, there were lots of Jubilee festivities taking place and there was a great atmosphere. My visiting dog had a great time in the river, running around and swimming and had quite an audience :)

Afterwards we wandered over to look at a bonfire I'd spotted in the distance. It was made up mainly of pallets and as you can see is very tall. Wonder how they got to the top?? Anyhow it was due to be lit at 10pm and I expect it would be quite a sight :)
