Storming the castle....

Just back from an amazing birthday camping weekend with some of my very best-est friends, several of whom are blippers too. The campsite was in a field of buttercups, and our neighbours were cows and sheep. We swam in the beautiful Rydal waters, sang in caves with a choir, jumped in the air for photos, wore fancy dress, hula hooped, and ate a lot of cooked-over-the-fire food. I was spoiled with lots of lovely thoughtful cards, gifts and cakes, and I can't remember having a better birthday in a very long time. It was very hard to chose just one photo from each day. I've chosen this one at Pendragon Castle near Kirby Stephen as it sums up the fun and spirit of playfulness that we had. Some of us took fancy dress (I took Totoro from yesterdays blip) and after exploring the ruins it was decided everyone should storm the castle. There were capes made from towels, a lot of running and giggling, and we filmed it too, to capture the full effect. Same again next year please.
