Clovelly Harbour

Wall to wall sunshine today so we set off for the coast. I'd wanted to see Clovelly and we found a coastal walk which would include a trip to this lovely and unique spot.

We started the walk from Brownsham a little further west. Coastal walking isn't straight forward there are lots of ups and downs!

The Main Street down into Clovelly is cobbled and very steep. In past times donkeys used to carry goods and people up and down to the quay. Now it's usually shanks pony! Or a land rover if you can't manage it.

We had lunch on the pebbly beach and then climbed our way back up the cobbled street again to return back to the car. A really lovely walk.

I've edited the photo to give it an old style feel.
