We spent the day in hospital and are very grateful to all the staff at the Kent And Canterbury Day Surgery Unit. I love the NHS and we were treated so kindly.

Even at nearly 20, he's still my baby. He was high as a kite when he came round. The staff laughed and said they'd never seen anyone so cheery.

I took this shot before he went to theatre. He's faint from hunger and grumpy from having to get up at 6a.m. Fast forward a few hours and he was giggling and demolished lunch. All's well that ends well.
