Getting the sparkle back

Checking us out

Possibly this robin was more interested in any cake crumbs that we might have been leaving rather than us. This was taken at Smeaton Nurseries tea room in East Lothian where we had tea and cake outside in the most sheltered place we had met all day.

We had been booked to go on a landing trip to the Bass Rock just off the coast from North Berwick which is home to the world's largest Northern Gannet colony, but it was cancelled due to the forecast of wind - and it was a windy day which was a relief I suppose. We went to the Seabird Centre anyway and saw a good range of birds on the webcams - gannets, puffins, shags, cormorants, razorbills, guillemots and kittiwakes.
