Architecture with shadows

Another day in Oxford Brookes University's new 'intelligent' building. If we didn't move enough the lights dimmed. I'm not sure whether that's meant to encourage people to fall further asleep or to jolt them into the movement that brings the lights back up. At one stage something in the ventilation moved. Apparently it had measured the CO2 level and was allowing us a bit more oxygen.

All very impressive. But I did think my chair could have woken me when I dozed after lunch. Though, on reflection, perhaps it had measured what was being said against my need for sleep and had decided that it was just fine to leave me alone.
