A bit of a stolen photo today, I’m afraid, and more likely to be relevant tomorrow actually – this afternoon’s planned  adventures involving instead further explorations  of the joys of Cycle Route 6, so possibly views of an industrial estate outside Long Eaton or the underside of the M1…

I found this unusual book on one of the Librarian’s desks upstairs. It’s a curious mix of beautifully produced art book and slightly curious pastiche of a 1970’s expression of civic pride with detailed, large format photos of stunning natural vistas as well as waste bins, benches, slightly dilapidated bandstands and the like. A bit of very minimal research reveals that Mr. Miles is a photography lecturer at NTU and has a bit of a penchant for abandoned children’s slides, old camper vans, etc – I wonder if he’s got a Blip journal…!
