Exciting day...

It's exciting to look out of the window and see a mare starting labour.
Maisie foaled this morning.
A beautiful filly. She arrived at 10.30 and we watched every milestone as the little girl started her life journey.
Maisie has been brilliant and although very tired she is a wonderful Mum.
She took longer than we wanted for her to pass the afterbirth so we called the Vet.
He was wonderful and as he ran to join us Maisie cleansed in front of us. Storm is coping well with being a big brother and George just knows he is a great Dad.

I shall be spending most of my week off in a field, watching the wonder of life and a precious gift.
