Common Enchantments

Now with Karaoke!

We are finally at our destination where we will be for a few weeks.  4 days in the vehicle with a big dog who wants to sit in your lap was a little bit trying..I think she was saying "are we there yet!"

We spent last night in Salida, Colorado but we had planned to stay at Leadville but decided we had driven far enough.  Good thing we changed our mind as it SNOWED at Leadville over night.   When we drove through about 9:30 it was still very cold but sunny.  It seems they had about 6 inches of snow that can be seen on the roof in this photo.  I love that there are still wild west places to be found here.  This town is proud of its history and much has been done to preserve the buildings.

Thankful that the snow and rain has missed where we are staying.   After unpacking and some lunch we took a walk along the dirt road.     It was breezy and chilly but it felt good to move even though the elevation here was making us walk much slower.  It will take a few days to get used to being at 6500 ft.

But spring is here in northwest Colorado as there were about 10 different wildflowers along the walk..tomorrow I am heading out with the camera!

A few other photos from the past couple of days in my extras.   Just some things that caught my attention..most taken right out of the truck.

Thanks for the comments on my travel photos..I was posting with the tablet which was not too good.
