Crying out loud

Seagulls are everywhere now, flying directly above, circling and landing like Lancaster bombers to walk around on the roof with constant cries @ full volume and now I understand why - two babies came to peek in through the skylight on this incredibly hot and blue sky summer's afternoon.   Mum and Dad were very agitated so I pulled the windows almost closed so the chicks don't fall in, although Elizabeth, watching, was rather hoping that they would.

This was all after being discharged from hospital at lunchtime.  All is well although I must admit it is very painful to walk as the movement pulls on the stitches generating a few choice comments to self as I moved about....

I spent the evening at neighbour-friend Melissa's - Quiz Night No 2 - a fun evening with jolly hard questions, whoops of delight and cries of 'not fair'  from a bunch of knowledgeable but not entirely sober educators grouped in nests of four and beautifully kept in line by Melissa's two teenagers who were our Quiz Masters. Not an easy task!!
