Maple Sugar

We have never welcomed anyone’s dogs here to the island..  there are mink, otters, raccoons, deer to distract and then of course mud and sand and salt water.   But now we have a granddog!  So…. different story… 8 mo Maple came here for the first time today with Tatum and Fiona and their parents.   H and I used to take a grandchild to the beach to play while Mom and Dad got a little break or a nap. Today we did the same with the granddog! while the rest took a nap, having gotten up very early to get here.  She did great - we have her on a very long leash, for today anyway,  for her to get used to the beach and all the trails, which she loved.  Great entertainment -Grampa is having fun with her (extra photo).  
We also put all the faeries  that have spent the winter in the studio out of the rain out together in the faerie circle in the forest.  Tatum and Fiona love to do this and we'll probably have a new one in a day or so...

Studio projects already started, great salmon dinner outside, games  and now it’s time for bed!
