This full moon rise ended a glorious evening.
After beacon hunting I was high as a kite. Being part of a chain that pre-dates the modern age was the allure. The official beacon website had a list of caveats as long as your arm about where to go; don't just turn up, do your homework, not all events are open to the public etc etc. So to find a field where 'Health and Safety' consisted of 'careful now' and two of us increased the headcount by 33% - I considered special.
