Two in a Bed/Canal Lock.

Back to the canal today. It was quite busy.
Lots of walkers and cyclists on the towpath and a good number of narrowboats in the water.
This is Lock No. 1 on the Rochdale Canal at Sowerby Bridge.
The Rochdale Canal and the Calder and Hebble Navigation join at Sowerby Bridge. From here “The Rochdale” climbs up into the Pennine Hills in a westerly direction passing through  Luddenden Foot, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge, Todmorden and then down to Littleborough and onward to Manchester where it joins the Bridgewater Canal 32 miles and 91 locks away.
