Beneath Biscay

Impromptu

Popped out at for a few glasses if cider before lunch and found a choir in the local square. Apparently they are from Donostia/San Sebastian in the Basque Country and were in Gijón to give a concert. Here, they were relaxing, having a drink in the sunshine while every so often getting up to sing. A pleasant addition to Sunday lunchtime.

Meanwhile, this morning M tried out the new bike I bought her a couple of months ago. I'll have to dust off my own soon.

This evening popped out to vote. There are municipal and regional elections throughout Spain today. I get to vote in the municipals only. The results should be interesting given the irruption of two major new parties on the national scene, coupled with the endless corruption scandals affecting the established major parties.
