Yellow Dead Nettle

Or more correctly lamium galeobdolon.  It is also commonly known as Yellow Archangel which was news to me.  I took the picture at the end of the garden as post-holiday chaos has limited photo opportunities but I noticed this patch for the first time this year.  It fascinates me how the distribution and cover of the plants changes from year to year.  Another example this year was that the white oxalis had almost disappeared whereas last year I worried that it might be going to force out the wood anemones.  I wonder if the dead nettle patch will still be there next year.
