A wonderful day

I met Adrian York over 20 years ago at a club called SINGERS, he is a fantastic pianist and composer, arranger etc... Before I met him he was in the band ROMAN HOLLIDAY, we've written lots of songs together over the years and performed in various bands together too. He is a lovely person and so is his wife Bet Ayr, a talented book designer.
I got to know them both very well when they lived in Kew and have seen their daughters Lauren and Natalie grow up and remember when they had Louis who is now 13!
They now live in Sussex in a wonderful house the oldest part of which dates back to the 13th century, they even have a priest hole! In this collards you can see Gulliver descending into it, and Bet and Gulliver looking at some very old graffiti together!
They told us they were making paella for lunch, what they didn't tell us was that we would be cooking it outside over a fire pit, Zebedee took on the role of assistant chef to Adrian and together they produced a fantastic meal! Home-made apple crumble for desert and champagne and wine! What a treat!
I'm very grateful to Adrian who had a long chat with Zebedee about his GCSEs and his options, Adrian teaches at Westminster University and is very knowledgeable on these things, Zebedee said it was very motivating after we left.
It was so nice to see them all again!

Unfortunately we had to leave about 4 o'clock because Max needed to do some work but that was fun too, we went to a gym in Silvermere, I went for a long walk on a running machine and chatted to Annie who is a personal trainer and a lovely lady. The boys enjoyed trying out all the equipment as well including monkey bars.
