Red Pump Garage, Great Missenden

Just across the road from the Roald Dahl Museum is the remains of this garage.  The writing goes:

      Out of fuel ......
           ever since 8 gallons cost over £1

Pump Attendant 'went to lunch'
Mechanic got 'too old to repair'
