Crowfoot

Thank you for all the lovely comments about our garden - it certainly gives us a lot of pleasure!

I've been very busy field-working so haven't really been able to keep up with blipping or commenting. I took the day off today, but ended up going out to do some voluntary botanical recording in Uffington tis morning. This is a view of the River Welland - and is very atypical for Lincolnshire, being shallow and fast-flowing, with beds of river water-crowfoot - much more like the chalk rivers of Hampshire.

This afternoon Alex, Ben and I went into town to do some clothes shopping (although, as usual, coffee was the best bit), We managed to find a nice shirt for Ben, and Alex tried on a suit jacket, as he's going to need to be smart for a wedding reception in July. We looked at quite a few options, but will probably wait for the sales before we buy!
